Hierarchy

1. Official coordinates
2. Exact intersection or interchange
3. Marker reference
4. Address or named facility
5. Exit or ramp
6. Relative roadway estimate
7. Segment midpoint
8. Municipality centroid

Precision Classes

• P1 — Exact coordinate level
• P2 — Exact mapped point
• P3 — Strong roadway reference
• P4 — Estimated roadway location
• P5 — Coarse area only

Mandatory Rules

• No false precision
• Roadway-first where applicable
• Preserve direction when stated
• Record method and precision class
• Use broader fallback when ambiguity remains
